|2021 - Mildly taken out of context|
Via my friends list feed from Google Blog Search:
Kind of a rule of thumb. I’m good at baiting people. I’ma professional little brother. Do you trust the guy in the Tron outfit who’sa network architect engineeer by day or do you trust the PR flack? I trust the Tron guy.
-- Matt Stoller of myDD.com, at a conference on net neutrality
I just find the phrase "I trust the Tron guy" amusing...not sure why.
Update: I just went and read some of myDD.com. If I get trusted by a left-wing extremist like him, what am I doing wrong?
current mood: amused
current music: ZZ Top - Can't Stop Rockin'
It is one thing to trust you.
It is another thing entirely to agree with you.
Trust is a weakness?
Note that he doesn't say what he trusts you *for*. :-)
(Do you actually see that site as 'extremist', by the way? That's truly mind-boggling...)
Yes, I really see that site as extremist. His writing would fit right in on The Daily Kos or the Democratic Underground.
Your not doing any thing wrong, your doing every thing right. I'm a socially liberal fiscal conservative who while not officially being a Democrat - I'm a registered green, but that's meaningless - and have always voted Democrat. I trust you after reading your blog and seeing the videos. Your political posts on your blog only help to me to learn to understand the conservative point of view, and realize that a person is bigger than their politics. So you are a good guy that people trust. That's a good thing that speaks well of you.
