1924 - Confusing protest sign

At the end of a review of a Steven Stills concert, Power Line's Scott Johnson noted that he caught the end of a GLBT Pride parade, and that a few marchers were carrying signs saying "Eliminate gender binaries".

What, they want source code?

Maybe 0 and 1 are not enough and they need some hermaphroditic code?

They were protesting what they believe our society's "binary opposition" between male and female. They think gender is a social construct that reinforces power relations in society, with white male heterosexuals coming out on top.

Actually I'm afraid some people DO want "source code." Unfortunately, their reason for wanting it is suspect. They may well be looking for a way to add a "patch" to prevent variations from their particular notion of what is proper.

It's more like GPL software. Unless you've been steriled you already have the source code (DNA) However I think they want ot jump to a multi-level quantum system or switch to an analog scale. hmmmm, analog computing.

Just be careful when you run the code to avoid catching a virus or spawning unwanted child processes.
