Via foolscap001: Reports are coming in that the MSM is blatantly and explicitly doing all they can to get Obama elected, and ignoring the public when they're called on it.

This does not come as a surprise.

The "Reverend Wright crap", as you put it, is quite relevant: if Obama subscribes to his preachings, that would affect his decisions. There's lots of other stuff the mainstream media refuses to look at, such as the funding for his Chicago mansion and his ties with terrorist William Ayers, that bear quite heavily on his policy viewpoints and his judgment.

The mainstream media is digging heavily for dirt on McCain and Palin, and not a thing on Obama and Biden.

but he doesn't subscribe to those views. he wasn't even there when he said the crap that got recorded and sound-bitten (a word i just invented, haha). mainstream media outlets have touched on ayers and rezko and they've moved on from that because there's nothing there. all it is is innuendo. and hell, even though they don't have that any more, they still have lots of negative reports on obama and biden. he was labeled an elitist for opening the convention up to the public for his speech, just because of the stage design. biden says a lot of stupid things that hardly go unnoticed.

there's plenty of dirt on mccain that the media doesn't report: that he's an angry old coot who called his wife a cunt, for example. palin is just a joke, portrayed flawlessly by tina fey on saturday night live. or is it the other way around? i don't even know anymore.

basically i think what goes on is that when a candidate loses momentum in a campaign and the media reports on that, the supporters of said candidate will cry media bias.

So where's the MSM reporting on Rick Davis' $30k/month from Fannie and Freddie, for example? Or the intentionally-misleading absentee ballots? Etc.

Don't get me wrong, both sides play dirty, but to get up in arms over the Dems and act like the other side doesn't do it too is just silly.

Oh yeah, and Rev. Wright is important? How about Ms. Palin's Kenyan witchdoctor, then?

I suggest you do a GIS of Obama's home

(Link)
And see if you think it qualifies as a mansion.

And it's not one of his seven homes.

It's his only home.

Is the address published?

In any event, how do you spend over two million dollars on a home, even in Chicago, and not get a mansion out of it? If he didn't, he's even a bigger fool than it otherwise seems.

As for McCain's seven homes, what would you suggest his wife spend her money on? Oh, that's right: she's one of those nasty eeeeeeevil CEOs that should have her salary strictly regulated so that she doesn't get rich.

I'd say real estate prices for upscale homes are a little different in Chicago than they are in Minnesota.

As for 'evil' rich people, perhaps they shouldn't try so hard to identify with the common man and all the while being not too sure exactly where their mail is going.

Keep an eye on exactly who is crying about the Democrats 'scuttling' the regulation of Fannie/Freddie. The 'small Government' Republicans.

It may well be the Republicans who are pointing out that the Democrats scuttled regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that would have prevented the current crisis - but it's the Democrats who are blaming the crisis on deregulation in the first place.

$2 million will buy you a Manhattan brownstone. Are you telling me Chicago real estate prices are that much more expensive than Manhattan?

When the MSM originally picked up on the Rev. Wright stuff it looked like Hillary was still the Golden Child. It can be argued that any "torpedoing" was done because Obama wasn't the Chosen One. Yet.

These days the only folks harping on that are the NON-mainstream-media: Hannity, Limbaugh, and some bloggers.

And even then, Obama was slated to be Hillary's VP, according to the script at the time.

So they didn't go into Wright heavily. The "G-D America!" speech was all that was discussed - and most of the major media didn't show it and didn't even accurately quote it.

And none went into Black Liberation Theology. Which would have raised many eyebrows, and would hardly have been "Crap".

The media covered Wright because the word was getting out around them, and more and more people were asking those questions... "Why aren't YOU looking into this?"

Actually, it's the same liberal media that COVERED UP the reverend wright crap for almost a year before grudgingly letting it get out. It was on the blogs and radio for ages before the MSM touched it.

Even the debate moderators are openly biased

I suppose you've seen who's moderating the VP debate? Gwen Iffel. She's publicly derided Palin and is wiring a book praising Obama and others.
