That is actually a series of interesting facts! Of course, it only makes it more sad that she's so woefully uninformed about the world around her... but interesting nonetheless!

I'm mildly surprised by #5, as I was under the impression Biden was a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. (Obama is a very junior member, so I'm not surprised there.)

While the distinction of the 49th Missile Defense Battalion as the only National Guard unit on permanent active duty is true, none of the other "facts" presented here are verifiable.

In fact, while the 49th is operating "normally", it is classified under title 10 of the USC as a standard active duty unit in the Army command structure, not under command of Governor Palin.

Also, the assertion that a governor has a higher security clearance and is privy to more information than the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee is a bit of a stretch, so you'll excuse me if I don't buy into that one without at least an attempt at backing it up somehow.

Better luck next time.

I doubt I'll have any luck at all with you, so I'm not worried about that. What does worry me is that we may be on the way to electing the least experienced, most liberal candidate in at least the last hundred years.

Once he bankrupts the coal industry, it'll be too cold and dark to worry about that.

What about that honour guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier, I'm pretty sure they are on permanent active duty?

There are lots of units on permanent active duty. Only one of those is a reserve unit, however. Reserve units are normally only on active duty part of the time.
