0810 - As if that wasn't enough...
I'm now being forge-subscribed to mailing lists. There are still mailing list managers out there that do not use a true confirmed opt-in process; those messages are being saved, and the sending domains added to my permanent email rejection list. I also intend to put up a web page showing the offenders with supporting documentation.
The ones that are using a confirmed opt-in process are just sending me confirmation requests; those are being deleted with no further action.

Uh, there is a really good way to combat this. Just do a reverse filtre. Any e-mail that is sent to you WITHOUT a certain word int eh subject line gets dumped straight into the recycle bin. Just use a reverse-filter until the whole furor and attention dies down and then remove it.
