|2327 - *yawn*|
The green room at Jimmy Kimmel Live was packed tonight. The musical guest was The Cure, on their first concert tour in 7 years. I didn't see the producer I was looking for, so I went out back to the stage to see the concert.
*yawn* They must have been after my time. The music just didn't do much for me, although there were lots of screaming fans there who looked like they had a good time.
I did spend some time talking to one of the production coordinators from Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. He introduced himself to me after seeing the Animaniacs logo on the back of my shirt. He shared my opinions about a lot of the stuff, especially the Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain abomination. I also talked to Jimmy's dad for a bit about data processing.
Off to bed...I leave at 6:45 tomorrow morning, and will get home about the time Paul gets home from work. I'll get to spend next week at home, whee. I'll even get to go to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for the first time this year, and it's only the third weekend.
current mood: tired
current music: the ringing in my ears
Have fun there. I haven't been to the one in Plantersville, TX, in a few years. I don't even know if they are still putting that thing on. It was always fun, especially when it poured down rain, and your shoes got sucked off your feet when you ran through the mud.
The Cure definitely seems to be a love em or hate em group - I don't know anyone whose in the middle about them (I'm on the love em side, lol)... but even those that hate them generally like Lovesong; it may be the best love song written in the last 40 years...
