Catching up

After this week's business trip, I had a it of catching up to do...paying bills, depositing an expense check, sending off money to a credit card, answering email, getting the car serviced. Whee. It was a refreshingly dull day, at least in the morning.

The evening had me driving up to the Cities to attend a Minnesota Repeater Council committee meeting. It was quite contentious, but I think we finally hammered out a compromise on the biggest issue that everyone involved can live with. I did get to go eat a steak at Lindey's beforehand, too.

I'm not planning to do much at all over the weekend. Just being home is enough.

Credit card part two

I sent in a complaint to the issuer of the credit card that jacked my rates up by 6%. I also sent a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General's office, who sent a nice, official letter. I don't know which of those had the more effect, but the result was that the card issuer lowered my rate by 10% (yes, more than it was raised), and refunded a big chunk of finance charge. I think I'll keep that card after all.
