More NYC silliness

Via CNN:

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- New Yorkers who blithely cross the street listening to an iPod or talking on a cell phone could soon face a $100 fine.

New York State Sen. Carl Kruger says three pedestrians in his Brooklyn district have been killed since September upon stepping into traffic while distracted by an electronic device. In one case bystanders screamed "watch out" to no avail.

Kruger says he will introduce legislation on Wednesday to ban the use of gadgets such as Blackberry devices and video games while crossing the street.

I don't see how this is going to be enforceable. It's simply far too prevalent.

Replaced an icon

Nobody likes the garb in my old userpic I use for faire entries, so I've finally replaced the userpic with one of the garb that people do like.

I'm pondering replacing the doublet, too. rillaspins, I'll probably pick on you for fabric and pattern help, since you're close...I'm thinking of basically a sleeveless doublet a lot like the old one, but cut to the same length all the way around as the one in this picture. Dunno if I'll mess with the dagged hem at the bottom, or make it simpler, though. I'm thinking of the same shade of green, or close, with the same white lining, maybe a bit more decoration, and probably frogs in front (assuming I can get those ready-made or make them easily).
