|0849 - For fans of Zilch the Torysteller|
Headline in today's Star-Tribune: "In case of bird flu, Minnesota has plan"
"What is plan?"
"Get moose and squirrel."
Sorry, I never learned to sign that, and I doubt it'd work on here anyway...
(LOL) (giggle) ok.. that one will make me chuckle all day - I'm easy to amuse but that was funny!
good one dear!
was that actually what it said?
The line about "Minnesota has plan" is a direct quote. The rest is a reference to a Renfaire performer's act.
Zilch the Torysteller is a comedian whose main schtick is telling classic stories in spoonerisms. He does veer off topic - wayyyyyy off topic, at times - and one of his classic lines is a little bit of sign language: "yes", "no", "thank you", "get moose and squirrel". "You have plan?" "I have plan." "What is plan?" "Get moose and squirrel."
Zilch's (very rudimentary, but enough to give you the flavor) website is here
but why Zilch the Torysteller instead of Boris and Natasha?
Well, them too, but Zilch is who I thought of first.
