|1009 - The TSA is a bunch of idiots...|
...but then I repeat myself.
I took a folding multitool from Wal-Mart and cut off the knife blade with a Dremel. Now, it's got nail clippers, scissors, a couple of screwdrivers, tweezers, and a nail file. You and I would think it's not a knife any more, right?
The TSA thinks it is.
current mood: irritated
Since my tiny nail-scissors are not carry-on legal, I see their position as being consistent.
Granted, it's consistently stupid, but it's also predictable.
Actually, your nail scissors may be carryon legal, now. They need to be less than 4 inches long, but according to the web site
, can be metal or plastic, with blunt or pointed ends.
Those people are paid to be robots, not to exercise any judgement.
The weapon-detection algorithms on those droids appear to be buggy.
