|0947 - First pictures from the factory|
I just got these pictures from the factory...
First, the overall airplane:
The instrument panel and seats...note that the panel's not quite complete yet:
A closer shot of the tail, with N number, the stripes, and the emblem:
Whee! It came out very well indeed.
current mood: bouncy
Totally awesome, Jay!
LMK when you fly it out here to Sac Exec or Lincoln...
Wow...that bubbletop must make this a hell of a fun plane to fly...
Visibility is fantastic. You can see every direction but down. I do have a sun shade in there (or will; I can't tell from these pictures, but I've bought one), and a hat will be pretty much required, but even so, it's great.
I am so happy for you! It looks awesome.
It came out really well, Jay. Congratulations. :)
I'm really, really pleased with it. They did a great job taking my design and making it real.
I do believe that this merits a "woot!" The paint came out splendidly, and I really dig the bubble top.
I love traditional electromechanical instrument panels :D
Well, this one's almost that: traditionally, the gyro instruments (heading indicator and attitude indicator) are vacuum powered, but not on this airplane. Everything's electrical. There's a backup power source to keep things running in case the alternator dies.
