|1221 - Death of a dream|
Anyone want to buy an airplane? Because of the Great Dempression, mine is for sale.
current mood: crushed
I'm really sorry to hear it.
Crap. You're got to sell the Tron-plane? That really, really sucks.
Great DEMpression? LOVE IT! Accurate but, we need to tie it to particular Dems.
I've always likened it to the "The Messiah" doing what the Chosen One does: bringing about the "Coming of G.O.D." In this case, by segueing the Reed-Pelosi Recession into it.
No, I'm not spelling to avoid blasphemy. G.O.D. stands for the "Great OBAMA Depression." (Worst crisis since The Great Depression, I've heard The Anointed One say, after all.)
Maybe I should CC this to Hannity?
Lets be realistic here Mr. Maynard. The current economic situation is caused by the housing crisis and overspending on the wars.
Overspending, yes. Housing crisis, yes. The housing crisis is the product of Democrats who forced banks to make mortgage loans to people who weren't credit-worthy. Those subprime loans took the whole financial system down with them.
As for overspending on wars, that's not the problem...it's the overspending on entitlements and social engineering that is the problem.
I call your attention to the graphic at http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/79682/
Also, over and above the Obama administration's levels of spending, its deviation from all precedent in bankruptcy, shafting secured creditors to reward political cronies, will make anyone think twice about investing in a company. Changes to corporate tax law to try to force US companies to keep their offices/plants in the US, will have precisely the opposite effect. (As much as I despise Microsoft, I certainly understand why they will do what Steve Ballmer has said they will do.)
So you're blaming this on events which will occur in the future?
Wow. Just... wow.
My employer's business went straight down the tubes beginning in early November. Companies quit spending money and hunkered down. They predicted tough times ahead from the Obamessiah's stated economic policies. Those times have come to pass, and even worse than predicted - and far worse than even the administration's projections of what would happen if the spendulus weren't enacted.
:( How much does the plane cost you per month?
Fixed costs are about $1200 a month.
So, high enough that you probably wouldn't be able to do a donate link or tip jar to make the money. That's a pretty significant bit of cash every month.
Almost as big as my mortgage payment.
