0915 - The Obama as the Joker poster

From Confederate Yankee:
A lot of people are getting their noses out of joint about a poster popping up around Los Angeles comparing President Barack Obama to the Joker.
Frankly, I don't get it.
One embraces terrorists and madmen, is dedicated to anarchy and the destruction of capitalist society, and sends the population fleeing in horror from his creations.
The other is a fictional character played by the late Heath Ledger.
Personally, I think it's just a case of the Left being able to dish it out, but not take it. How many "Chimpy McBushitler" T-shirts and the like were there?

Yup. If it's a legitimate visual comment on George W. Bush, it's a legitimate visual comment on the Obamessiah. Meh... I think Obama means well. He just has no clue what a mess we are in and he is a politician... not Black Jesus. It is gonna take a different breed of man to fix our country. The Joker would be that sort. Too bad Obama isn't half the man the Joker is. lol Why so socialist? Makes me laugh, let's go.
(Yes, I definitely think it's a case of "Left can't take it but can dish it out)
But the posters of the poster also have to take some fault, I mean posting it in LA? If they want a receptive audience, try Dallas, or Cheyenne, or Wasilla. Mr. Maynard, I like what you're point of view and enjoy reading your journal. I came across this from a friend of mine who told me it'd piss me off. I didn't find it particularly surprising, but I know you reach more people than I ever could. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJuQQcXKLWMIf you don't find it interesting in the first 8 minute segment, you won't find the rest of it with any merit. I don't condone documentary tactics of just showing up with a camera, I feel it puts people at an unusual disadvantage. But the point is valid. At least, I know it was at my college. Why not? He's certainly got the totalitarianism down pat, and all four of those have totalitarian elements to them. You look at a peace sign and see totalitarianism?
Just exactly how broken is your brain? It's not broken at all, since the peace sign is a symbol of hard leftism - and the peace movement was very much a creation of the Soviets. uh... huh.
I guess, when all is said and done, you're not against insane conspiracy theories at all -- you just subscribe to different ones than the people you deride. It's well documented in the Soviet archives that they funded and instructed the US antiwar movement from after WWII, right up to the fall of the Soviet state. No conspiracy theory here. |
