2000 - Concealed carry for Minnesotans

The Minnesota House of Representatives passed a bill to adopt shall-issue concealed carry - which 32 other states have, already - Wednesday. They did it by using a parliamentary maneuver that guarantees that it will go straight to the floor of the Minnesota Senate for a yes-or-no vote. The bill's supporters say they have 40 votes in favor, in the 67-member body. The final vote will likely happen Monday, and Governor Pawlenty has promised to sign it.

It's about time.

I got a letter in Friday's Minneapolis Star-Tribune letters column on the subject. (The next-to-last letter.) Whee.
